: So here is the ticket. I got a ticket for violation 22106 which in the code book (I looked it up) reads: : 22106 Unsafe staring/backing of vehicle : Situation: : I am driving along partaking in all of the ethical driving norms. So there I am going the speed limit and I always go up this one street which has all kinds of restaurants and a theatre to get to my house, its just a ritual/ or routine. So.. I slow down to about 15 miles per hour and take the turn and then as I made the turn I gave it a little gas (didn't floor it or anything) and never went faster than 17mph, so what happened was, MY TIRES SCREECHED! wow! So Ya i got a ticket for my tires making noise. The thing is, heres the thing: That particular street is a tile like surface rather than asphault (looks nice I guess) so the surface is very easy to screech the tires on, especially for guys like us with Sports Cars and buy sticky tires. So basically, the cop was a dick... Part of our conversation: : Me: "To get a better understanding may I ask you a couple of questions" : Officer Ball Licker: "Yes as long as it is brief" : yadadadaad right but heres something important he said: : Me: So could you tell me the scenario once more... : Officer BL: "I saw you stop and then make a turn and I heard your engine rev up and heard the noise of your tires.." : Me: So I made a complete stop? : Officer: No, you made a stop though.... : as I kept asking him questions he was getting pissed cause he couldn't explain it well using the justification "oh i just go by the book".... so what do you guys think. I am definitely an activist and will go fight this crap but what would be the argument to use to get out of it? Thanks for all your help. For a better idea here are some pics of the ticket: : PS: Please ask my question if something is not clarified!! :
